The Dutch Data Protection Authority on April 19 said that it was recommending government agencies to stop using Facebook over privacy concerns, as it is not sure about what happens with the personal data of users of the government’s pages on the site, ThePrint reported citing Reuters. Alexandra van Huffelen, junior minister for digitalization, said that Facebook’s parent firm Meta Platforms, Inc. must first make clear the government’s concerns on the safety of data, or it will stop using the platform.
