Google to roll back minimum wage, benefits policy for US suppliers

Alphabet Inc.’s Google is set to roll back its 2019 policy requiring U.S .suppliers and staffing firms to pay employees a minimum of $15 per hour and provide health insurance and other benefits, Reuters reports. The decision, which could allow Google to avoid union negotiations, is in response to changing US and global labor regulations concerning contingent workers.
