Russian insurers see profits almost double in 2023

Data from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation showed that local insurers’ net profits almost doubled in 2023, mainly driven by an increase in income from investment activities, Xprimm reported. The local insurance sector saw gross written premiums grow by a quarter to 2.28 trillion Russian rubles ($24.2 billion).
