Florida awards Medicaid contracts to Centene, Elevance, and Humana

Florida has retained Centene Corp., Elevance Health Inc., and Humana Inc. as the sole holders of Medicaid contracts in all state regions, excluding UnitedHealth Group Inc., CVS Health Corp., and Molina Healthcare Inc., Healthcare Dive reports. The decision is seen as particularly beneficial for Centene, the largest Medicaid provider in Florida. The six-year contract is set to commence in October.
