Strikes cost Lufthansa over $372 million in first quarter

Germany airline Deutsche Lufthansa AG said that strikes among various labor groups over pay and working conditions cost it €350 million ($372 million) during the first quarter of this year, Skift reported. The firm has slashed its financial forecast after a number of strikes and increasing tensions in the Middle East region. The airline has also warned that increasing Middle East unrest could further affect its bottom line.
