The 7.2-magnitude earthquake that struck Taiwan on April 3 is expected to cause a disruption of the supply chain for semiconductors and related technology products, as the nation is home to the world’s largest chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Fox Business reported citing Reuters. The Taiwanese firm supplies chips to tech giants like Apple Inc. and Nvidia Corp. Tech products manufacturer in the country are trying to restore normal operations in the wake of the quake.
