Point32Health revises prior authorization for home health services

Point32Health, the parent company of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan, is revising its prior authorization procedures for home health services, Becker’s Payer Issues reports. From April 12, home care services will not require utilization management for the first 30 days after a commercial beneficiary is discharged from a hospital. After this period, prior authorization will be needed for continued coverage.
