Taiwan quake likely to tighten supply of tech components

Analysts said that the 7.2-magnitude earthquake, which struck Taiwan's eastern coast near Hualien County on April 3, is likely to tighten the supply of tech components such as semiconductors and display panels as manufacturers in the country restore operations at affected facilities, Reuters reported. Taiwan is home to the world’s biggest chipmaker, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., which supplies chips to tech giants like Apple and Nvidia.
