Delaware state employees and retirees will face a 27% increase in health plan premiums starting July 1, WHYY reports. The State Employee Benefits Committee also declined to extend enhanced COVID-19 benefits and approved a new plan for state retirees. The changes are in response to deficits in the state health plans due to high costs of obesity and diabetes drugs and surgeries.
