A technology outage disrupted worldwide operations at fast-food chain McDonald's Corp. on March 15, shuttering some restaurants and affecting online orders in countries such as the U.K., Australia and Japan, BBC reported. Brian Rice, chief information officer at McDonald’s, ruled out a cyberattack and said the glitch was caused by a third-party provider during a configuration change.
