Centene Corp. is set to lay off more than 2,000 employees, approximately 3% of its workforce, amid challenges from Medicaid redeterminations and Medicare Advantage star ratings, Healthcare Dive reports. The company, the largest Medicaid managed care organization, is refocusing on its core business, having sold assets including AI platform Apixio and Circle Health Group.
