Axa names Vito Raimondi zone leader

Axa XL, a unit of Axa SA, on Thursday named Vito Raimondi head of its U.S. Central zone, effective Aug. 21.
He replaces Todd Sutherland, who left the company earlier this year to join James River Group Holdings Ltd. as senior vice president of underwriting, management liability.
Based in Chicago, Mr. Raimondi reports to Matt O’Malley, U.S. country manager at Axa XL.
Mr. Raimondi currently serves as chief operating officer of client and distribution management at Axa XL and joined the company in 2013 as chief operating officer of its excess casualty business.
