RSC buys Oregon brokerage

RSC Insurance Brokerage Inc., which does business as Risk Strategies Co., said Wednesday it has acquired Bisnett Insurance, an Oregon-based brokerage.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bisnett offers commercial lines coverages to sectors including transportation and trucking, farm and ranch, construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, real estate, public entities, and nonprofit organizations. 

Founded by its current chairman, Roger Bisnett, in 1982 and based in West Linn, Oregon, the brokerage also has operations in Arizona and Idaho, an RSC statement said.

The broker has about 40 employees, according to its website.

Pat Roth, West regional leader for Risk Strategies, said in the statement that the deal expands the broker’s presence in the Northwest.

Risk Strategies is the 16th largest broker of U.S. business according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
