LinkedIn faces $425 million fine over alleged privacy violations

Microsoft Corp. expects to incur a potential charge of approximately $425 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2023 after Ireland’s Data Protection Commission proposed fining the company over alleged privacy violations at its unit LinkedIn Corp., Irish Examiner reported citing Reuters. Microsoft said that it plans to dispute the proposed fine after receiving a final order.
