Protests, riots propel Africa to six-year high of civil unrest

According to research from risk and strategic consulting firm Verisk Maplecroft, civil unrest in Africa has hit a six-year high due to an increase in protests, riots and political tensions, African Business reported. Increased insurance costs, supply chain issues and threats to employee security are some of the risks that companies face due to the escalation of civil unrest.
