BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

ATLANTA – The Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. and the Pan-Asia Risk & Insurance Management Association have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand opportunities for risk professionals across the Asia Pacific region to earn the RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional designation.

The MOU was officially signed Monday at the RIMS Riskworld conference by Jennifer Santiago, RIMS 2023 board president; Ward Ching, RIMS-CRMP commission chair; Gary A. LaBranche, RIMS CEO; and Franck Baron, PARIMA co-founder and chairman.

The goal of the partnership is to establish a standard of knowledge and professionalism for risk professionals that is accepted and recognized globally, the New York-based risk management society said in a statement.

Singapore-based PARIMA will market, promote and deliver the RIMS-CRMP exam prep workshop to the Pan-Asia risk community while RIMS will deliver course materials, case studies and instructors, and manage administrative and certification duties.

RIMS-CRMP is the only accredited risk management certification globally. The certification is accredited by ANSI under ISO/IEC 17024:2012.

“Setting a global baseline for risk management skills and knowledge is a critical first step to advancing the profession,” Mr. LaBranche said in the statement.

“The collaboration will enable the RIMS-CRMP certification to be more relevant to the region and better position risk professionals to drive the key themes of resilience and sustainability for organizations across the region,” Mr. Baron said.

The RIMS-CRMP tests qualify risk professionals in five areas: analyzing the organizational model; designing organizational risk strategies; implementing the risk process; developing organizational risk competency; and supporting decision-making.

More information about the certification and access to study materials is available on the RIMS website.
