AHIP ad campaign attacks drug manufacturers for rising costs

Health insurer trade group America’s Health Insurance Plans launched a new advertising campaign blaming drug manufacturers for rising drug costs, Becker’s Payer Issues reports. AHIP is placing ads on broadcast, social media and in targeted Washington, D.C., publications, according to an April 24 news release. The advertising campaign comes as PBMs are facing increased scrutiny from lawmakers.
