Navacord buys Canadian general insurance broker

Canadian insurer Navacord Corp. has acquired British Columbia-based general insurance broker SeaFirst Insurance Brokers Ltd., effective April 1, to strengthen its presence in western Canada and expand its offerings to clients, Canadian Underwriter reported. SeaFirst offers a wide range of tailored property and casualty insurance, including business, farm, travel and marine insurance, as well as serves as one of the largest Lloyd’s coverholders in Canada.
