Moody’s assigns stable outlook for Japanese P&C insurance sector

Moody’s Investors Service Inc. has assigned a stable outlook for Japan’s property and casualty insurance sector, as it expects strong capitalization and profitability for insurers operating in the sector, Asia Insurance Review reported. The agency said that insurers in the region continue to benefit from geographically as well as internationally diversified portfolios while ongoing equity divestments are expected to enhance asset quality.
