Airline cuts regional flights due to pilot and part shortages

Australian airline Rex Airlines Pty Ltd. has reduced flights on nine regional routes across four states due to a persistent shortage of parts and airline staff, ABC News reported. Warrick Lodge, network strategy general manager at Rex Airlines, said that the changes affected the company’s 61-strong fleet of Saab 340 Turboprop planes.
