Gallagher launches new operation in Japan

U.S.-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has established a new insurance brokerage in Japan, which will focus on commercial lines sales as well as wholesale facultative insurance to other brokers, Asia Insurance Review reported. The new business, which will form part of the broker’s North Asia operations under regional chief executive Thomas Wang, will provide risk management and insurance services for businesses in the marine, property and casualty, aviation, construction, financial lines and energy sectors.
