Air India secures $10 billion insurance cover for fleet

India-based airline Air India Ltd. has secured $10 billion in coverage from a syndicate of insurers at a premium of $30 million for its fleet of 140 aircraft and the 26 Boeing 737 aircraft that belong to its low-cost international subsidiary Air India Express, Verdict reported citing Business Standard. The syndicate includes Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd., General Insurance Corporation of India Ltd., United India Insurance Co. Ltd., the Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. and ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd.
