Algerian insurance market records nearly 6% growth

Data from Algeria’s National Insurance Council showed that the local insurance market expanded by 5.9% year-on-year to 162.6 billion Algerian dinar ($1.2 billion) in 2022, Middle East Insurance Review reported. Claims lodged with insurers increased by 4.4% year-on-year to DZD80.2 billion with the majority from the property and casualty insurance segment.
