Swiss Re splits reinsurance business into two units

Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd. has implemented a new organizational structure by splitting its reinsurance business into property/casualty reinsurance and life/health reinsurance units to streamline operations and improve client experience, Reinsurance News reported. The new structure, which was first announced in February, will see Urs Baertschi serving as the chief executive of the P&C Re unit.
