Suppliers face growing expectations to report on ESG standards

A survey by the Business Development Bank of Canada has found that small and medium suppliers are facing increasing expectations from their larger clients to report on environmental, social and governance standards, Canadian Underwriter reported. It found that 82% of customers need some disclosure from their suppliers on ESG. The growing expectations from smaller companies come as bigger firms face pressure from investors to provide a detailed ESG picture across their complete supply chains.
