Reinsurance sector to see higher future profitability: Berenberg

Analysts at German investment banking firm Joh. Berenberg Gossler & Co. KG expect the reinsurance sector to see higher future profitability as the hard market is likely to persist throughout this year and further into 2024, Reinsurance News reported. Berenberg’s broader view on the sector continues to be positive as the repricing of property catastrophe reinsurance has driven multi-decadal rate increases and much higher returns.
