UnitedHealthcare, UVM Health extend coverage as contract talks falter

Nearly 2,000 Vermonters covered by UnitedHealthcare Inc. who were slated to lose their in-network health insurance coverage on April 1 at hospitals belonging to the University of Vermont Health Network due to faltering contract talks, have gotten a timely reprieve, the Burlington Free Press reports. Both the UVM Health Network and UnitedHealthcare announced March 24 they have reached an agreement to extend in-network coverage through the end of the year, to give plan members more time to find other health insurance coverage.
