A bill that would end dental, vision and hearing benefits for Medicaid recipients was vetoed by Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear March 24, keeping the additional benefits intact for now, the Louisville Courier-Journal reports. Senate Bill 65 declared the benefits, which were established through an expansion approved by Beshear last year, were deficient under the state's emergency administrative regulations. The bill passed through the House 70-19, then the Senate 31-6 before being sent to Beshear's desk. The expansion went into effect Jan. 1 and applied to the nearly 900,000 adults enrolled in the state's Medicaid program, the report says.
