Sembcorp Marine’s Brazilian arm probed for alleged irregularities

The Office of the Comptroller General of Brazil has opened a preliminary administrative liability proceeding against Singapore-based marine and offshore engineering company Sembcorp Marine Ltd.’s Brazilian subsidiary Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz Ltda. for alleged irregularities, Offshore Engineer reported. Sembcorp said that the Brazilian authorities have not provided further details about the investigation, but affirmed that its subsidiary is totally cooperating with them on the probe.
