Insured loss from Turkey quakes estimated at $3.5 billion: Perils

Swiss catastrophe data provider Perils AG estimates insured and reinsured property losses of $3.5 billion from the massive earthquakes that struck Turkey on Feb. 6, Artemis reported. This is way below Risk Management Solutions Inc.’s industry loss estimates of above $5 billion but aligns closely with Hannover Re SE’s estimates of €‎3.5 billion ($3.76 billion) to €‎4 billion.
