Startup Clever Care raises $41 million for Medicare Advantage plan

A health care startup integrating Western medicine and Eastern wellness benefits in a Medicare Advantage plan raised $41 million in a funding round led by Google Ventures, reports Becker’s Payer Issues. Clever Care Health Plan Inc., founded in 2020, has more than 11,000 members. According to a March 15 news release, Point32Health, which operates Medicare Advantage plans through Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare and Tufts Health Plan, also joined the Series C funding round for the Huntington Beach, California-based company.
