7.2-magnitude earthquake jolts Ecuador

The Ecuadorian Secretariat for Risk Management said that a 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck the province of Guayas on March 18, causing material damage to private or public property, educational facilities and health centers, Xinhua reported. The quake occurred at a depth of over 27 miles and was felt in 13 of the country’s 24 provinces.
