Earthquake insurance in high demand after deadly quakes

Data from the Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool showed that an average of 12,500 earthquake policies are being issued daily in the financial and commercial hub of Istanbul after the massive earthquakes that struck Turkey on Feb. 6, Middle East Insurance Review reported citing Sigorta Medya. This marks an 87% increase over the daily average of 6,700 policies before the disaster.
