World Insurance buys trucking agency

World Insurance Associates LLC said Wednesday that it bought trucking insurance agency Hadley & Lyden Inc. earlier this month.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Winter Park, Florida-based Hadley & Lyden has 27 employees and specializes in providing coverage to truckers and truck brokers, World Insurance said in a statement.

Iselin, New Jersey-based World Insurance is the 34th largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking. It was the sixth most acquisitive brokerage in 2022, according to Optis Partners LLC.
