Forest fire destroys some 6,000 hectares of forests

Argentine officials said on March 14 that forest fires raging in the northern Corrientes province have destroyed some 6,000 hectares of forests in the past few days, The Straits Times reported citing AFP. According to Corrientes’ emergency command centre, two fires are now under control, but three others continue to threaten.
