Judge rejects dismissal of retirement plan fiduciary claims against Mitre Corp.

Allegations that Mitre Corp. breached its fiduciary duty to negotiate lower retirement plan fees will proceed, after a federal judge in Massachusetts ruled in favor of the plaintiffs and denied Mitre’s motions to dismiss the lawsuit, reports Plansponsor. The plaintiffs allege that Mitre failed to leverage the bargaining power and size of assets in its retirement plan to negotiate lower fees.
