Aviva’s general insurance premiums up 8%

U.K.-based insurer Aviva PLC’s general insurance business posted 8% year-on-year growth in gross written premium to £9.74 billion ($11.73 billion) in 2022, as its core businesses in the U.K., Ireland and Canada saw strong growth, Reinsurance News reported. The insurer’s total operating profit increased 35% year-on-year to $2.21 billion.
