Regional resilience supports stable outlook for GCC insurance markets

Ratings agency A.M. Best Co. Inc. said that regional resilience to challenging global macroeconomic conditions, as strong oil prices contribute to a constant fiscal surplus across the region, supports its stable outlook for the Gulf Cooperation Council insurance markets, UK Daily News reported. The agency added that increasing mergers and acquisitions activity in the region can further improve market profitability and decrease price competition.
