RT Specialty names executive vice president

Ryan Specialty Group said Thursday it has promoted Michael VanAcker to executive vice president of RT Specialty, its wholesale brokerage and binding authority unit, a newly created position.
Mr. VanAcker was previously chief operating officer of Ryan Specialty Group.
Mr. VanAcker will work closely with Tim Turner, RT Specialty’s chairman and CEO, and RT Specialty President Ed McCormack, among others, the company said.
