European insurance CFOs see rising inflation as top threat

According to a survey by Moody’s Investors Service Inc., European insurance chief financial officers see persistent inflation as the industry’s key threat, with 73% of respondents placing it among their top three worries, Reinsurance News reported. A majority of the CFOs feel inflation will feed through into higher claims costs this year, though most expressed confidence that price increases would offset or outweigh higher claims.
