Japanese insurer considers sale of some overseas markets

Japan-based MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings Inc. is looking at withdrawing from some of its oversees markets to boost profits, Asia Insurance Review reported citing Nikkei Asia. Noriyuki Hara, chief executive and president at MS&AD, said that are there are about five markets where the return on equity is less than the minimum target of 6% and that the insurer will most likely sell these locations.
