Major Japanese automakers Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Suzuki Motor Corp. and Toyota Motor Corp., have cut production as they face a shortage of automotive semiconductors, SemiMedia reported citing Nikkei. Honda’s Yorii plant in Saitama Prefecture will see a 10% reduction in production due to the semiconductors shortage and logistics delays. Suzuki plans to halt operations at the Kosai plant and the Sagara plant in Shizuoka Prefecture, while Toyota will suspend some production lines at its Motomachi plant in March.
