Turkey earthquakes trigger debate over disaster insurance in Algeria

According to insurance expert Hocine Ouadah, the massive earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria on Feb. 6 have triggered a debate over natural catastrophe insurance in Algeria, which has significant underinsurance issues, Middle East Insurance Review reported citing El Watan. The share of the natural catastrophe insurance in the country is just 2%.
