Acrisure hires former WTW exec to head new German unit

Acrisure LLC said Tuesday it has hired Mathias Pahl, Willis Towers Watson PLC’s former head of Germany and Austria, as president of the newly formed Acrisure Deutschland GmbH.
In addition to Germany, Munich-based Mr. Pahl will head Acrisure’s business in Austria and Switzerland, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based brokerage said in a statement.
Mr. Pahl, who spent 19 years at WTW, will be responsible for building out Acrisure’s business in the region, including through acquisitions, the statement said.
Acrisure, which has been the most acquisitive brokerage in the United States for several years, has existing European operations in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland.
