Axa expands property quota share reinsurance protection

French insurer Axa SA has expanded its property quota share reinsurance protection, which it believes can offset the higher retention across its excess-of-loss reinsurance program, Artemis reported. The insurer increased cession to 31% for the Axa XL Insurance quota share in North America and 28% for international risks, while adding a new 14% quota share reinsurance arrangement for the Axa XL London market property business.
