7.2-magnitude earthquake jolts Tajikistan

The China Earthquake Networks Centre said that a strong 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck Tajikistan on Feb. 23, with tremors also felt in China, Tasnim News Agency reported. Two aftershocks followed the quake, which occurred at a depth of six miles. Passenger trains running on the Aksu to Kashgar section in China's Xinjiang region were halted following the quake.
