Euroins Romania signs quota share reinsurance deal with EIG Re

Euroins Romania Asigurare Reasigurare SA has signed a quota share reinsurance agreement with Bulgarian reinsurer EIG Re EAD, as it tries to resolve demands from the country's insurance supervisory authority, SeeNews reported. The deal, which aims to protect Euroins Romania from regulatory overpressures, provides a higher coverage of its minimum capital requirement and solvency capital requirement. The move comes shortly after Eurohold said that Euroins Romania is the target of a hostile takeover attempt.
