Swiss Re announces promotions

Swiss Re Ltd. said Friday it has named Monica Ningen as CEO of US P&C Reinsurance and Jolee Crosby to take over Ms. Ningen’s former role as president and CEO of Swiss Re Canada & English Caribbean business, effective July 1.

In her new role, Ms. Ningen will lead a team of client managers, claims experts and underwriters in its largest market, the company said in a statement. Ms. Ningen has spent five years leading Swiss Re’s operations in Canada and the English Caribbean, it said.

She will continue in her current role until July 1.

Ms. Ningen replaces Keith Wolfe, who has decided to pursue activities outside of Swiss Re, according to a spokeswoman. He will stay with Swiss Re until July.

Ms. Ningen was among the Business Insurance 2015 Women to Watch.

Ms. Crosby was most recently head of the global L&H underwriting and medical reimbursement team at Swiss Re.

Ms. Ningen will be based in Armonk, New York, and Ms. Crosby in Toronto.
