Ransomware attacks on industrial organizations nearly doubles in 2022

Data from U.S.-based cyber security firm Dragos Inc. showed that ransomware attacks on industrial infrastructure organizations nearly doubled in 2022, with more than 70% of the ransomware activity focused on the manufacturing sector, Industrial Cyber reported. Vulnerabilities increased 27% in 2022. The data also revealed that Lockbit 2.0 and Lockbit 3.0 made 28% of the overall ransomware attacks in the year.
