County workers seek inflation adjustment to pension benefits

Current and former Sonoma County employees on Feb. 7 urged the California county’s top elected officials Board of Supervisors to help with a one-time increase in their pension benefits, something supervisors have not done since 2008, the Bohemian reports., the report says. During the meeting, a member of the Sonoma County Association of Retired Employees said that, of the roughly 5,200 current county pension recipients, over 2,000 receive less than $2,000 per month.
